Step into a full-time contract opportunity supporting young students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at an elementary school. This onsite role allows you to help shape students’ growth, work alongside a dedicated educational team, and make a meaningful difference each day. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026 to June 9, 2027, with standard school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Ideal candidates bring a passion for pediatric care, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster positive, inclusive learning environments.
What you’ll need:
- Active California COTA license
- Previous experience in a school-based COTA role
- Comfort supporting elementary-aged students with various needs
- Ability to work full school days onsite at the assigned location
- Strong collaborative and communication skills with teachers and support staff
- Professionalism when participating in a virtual interview process via Zoom
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and session notes
- Conduct group and one-on-one sessions, adapting activities to student abilities
- Contribute to a positive, engaging classroom environment and uphold school policies
