With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, you'll engage with an elementary caseload, fostering meaningful progress for each child.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
- Documented experience providing therapy in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with the needs and routines of elementary-aged children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and school staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable participating in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as prescribed in their educational plans
- Support students in developing skills for classroom tasks, self-care, and participation in school activities
- Document progress clearly and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and professional requirements
- Consult with teachers and other team members to adapt learning environments and materials
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate in goal-setting for student success
- Provide insights and recommendations to support individualized therapy plans
