In this contract role, you'll provide hands-on therapy while working closely under the supervision of an experienced Occupational Therapist. With a start date of January 4, 2027, and a contract running through May 21, 2027, you’ll have the stability to build connections with your 31-student caseload in a vibrant educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Current, active COTA license in Illinois
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Confidence working with students from kindergarten through high school
- Ability to follow guidelines and collaborate with supervising OT
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective, evidence-based therapy services to K-12 students under OT supervision
- Contribute to quarterly documentation and write progress minutes
- Support development of fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills for individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement strategies that promote student success
- Manage a caseload of 31 students, providing individualized attention and interventions
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state requirements
