Make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist serving K-8 students in the Algonquin, IL area! This full-time contract opportunity offers a rewarding experience supporting elementary and middle school learners across two sites. You'll work onsite 37.5 hours per week during the regular school schedule, with each day dedicated to one location—eliminating the need for travel between schools during the day.
You will provide general education and resource classroom support, as well as some involvement with self-contained special education classrooms. Your expertise will help students achieve their fullest potential and foster an inclusive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred
- Familiarity with sensory integration approaches and writing student goals and progress notes
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to children in elementary and middle grade settings
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to address student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy goals
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements
- Support students in general education, resource, and select self-contained classrooms
