Shape young lives and help students succeed in a dynamic school-based setting! An opportunity is open for an Occupational Therapist to provide contract support for a district near Ann Arbor, Michigan. This position begins in February and is anticipated to run through May, with the possibility of an extension if a direct hire is not secured by December. You'll have the chance to collaborate with educators and families to help students overcome barriers, develop life skills, and fully participate in their educational journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEPs, student assessments, and developmental milestones
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct therapy services in alignment with student goals and IEP requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to maximize student participation
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Attend team meetings and contribute expertise to student-centered decisions
