Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan
- School-based experience as an OT preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 30-40 students independently
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Please note: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) are not eligible—this school cannot offer the required supervision.
Role Overview:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with a broad range of needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a supportive environment
- Engage in regular assessment, progress reporting, and data-driven intervention adjustments
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise regarding sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based OT
The contract entails working 32.5 hours per week and is set to run through June 18, 2027, allowing for stability as you form meaningful professional relationships within the school community.
