Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid OT license for practice in Michigan
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Ability to independently manage a caseload—no COTA supervision available
- Strong communication and organizational skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering student independence, participation, and success
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students ages PreK–12
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans centered on students’ educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to integrate OT strategies within classroom routines
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting support as needed
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student accommodations
- Provide training and consultation to staff to best support students’ participation and progress
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and state guidelines
Contract Details:
- Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
- Term runs ASAP through June 18, 2027
- Onsite position across multiple school locations, serving a caseload of 30–40 students
