Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state Occupational Therapy licensure
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective, individualized therapy plans
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education protocols
- Welcomes adaptability in a dynamic school-based environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students’ needs
- Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff and families
- Provide hands-on interventions to support students’ educational goals
- Consult with teachers on strategies for classroom adaptations
- Monitor and report progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal educational requirements
This contract role provides an excellent chance to expand your experience in school-based occupational therapy, with the possibility to continue in the position if a permanent hire is not found by December.
