- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Valid state Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Compassion, creativity, and adaptability in varied educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ functional abilities using standardized assessment tools
- Develop targeted intervention strategies to meet occupational therapy goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to students individually or in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommending accommodations or supports
- Maintain ongoing documentation, including progress monitoring and daily notes
- Provide guidance to school personnel and families to encourage carryover of therapeutic activities
