Key Qualifications:
- Active certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Licensed (or eligible) as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with pediatric and special education populations, is highly desirable
- Ability to travel between schools within the district as needed
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to students, focusing on the early childhood level
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to design and implement individualized intervention plans
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Support students with a variety of needs, adapting strategies to promote independence and enhance participation in school activities
