This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with a passion for school-based services and diverse therapeutic interventions—whether in person, home health, or through teletherapy.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Washington State (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school settings preferred; additional experience in home health or healthcare advantageous
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, goal setting, and documentation requirements
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with students, educators, and families
- Flexibility and resourcefulness to adapt interventions to meet varied student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students using standardized assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services across multiple modalities (school, home, teletherapy)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create inclusive educational environments
- Document therapy sessions, track student progress, and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulations
- Contribute to IEP meetings, providing insights to support student learning and access
- Educate families and school staff on strategies to enhance motor, sensory, and functional skills
