Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid, current Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Prior experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to contribute to goal setting
- Positive, creative, and adaptable approach to challenges
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify needs impacting learning and daily function within the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support student goals
- Provide direct therapy services both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to integrate therapy recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, sessions, and progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student independence
