Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full‑time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support an Elementary School District for the 2026–2027 school year. This role serves three campuses and includes a manageable caseload with COTA support. The school location is in the Avondale area and will be discussed further over a virtual interview.
Position Overview
- Role: Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Location: Avondale, AZ
- Start/End Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027
- Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
- Caseload: Approximately 80 students with on-site COTA support
License Required: Active Arizona OT license
Caseload & Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy and interventions for K–8 students
- Conduct evaluations and re‑evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, COTA, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance documentation
- Support fine motor, sensory, self‑help, and functional school‑based skills
Requirements
- The district is seeking an OT who is confident managing a multi‑school caseload and enjoys working collaboratively with a COTA.
- Preferred qualities include: School‑based experience, strong communication and organization skills, ability to work independently across multiple campuses
- IVP Fingerprint Card, not Level 1
- AZ OT License
