In this role, you'll work onsite one day per week at a single location within a friendly school community. The schedule is flexible—choose the day that fits best with your other commitments. Directly support approximately 11 students, spending around 4 hours providing direct therapy, with additional time to manage required paperwork and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) certification in Maine
- Previous experience or strong interest in working in a school-based setting
- Knowledge of IEP processes, pediatric development, and sensory integration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on occupational therapy services tailored to elementary students’ needs
- Complete necessary evaluations, develop treatment plans and update progress
- Collaborate with teaching staff and families to support student success and IEP goals
- Maintain timely documentation and required paperwork for student records
- Participate as needed in team meetings or consultations, offering expertise on student strategies
