Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Maine OT certification required
- Experience providing occupational therapy within a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students ages PreK-8
- Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide approximately 4 hours of direct occupational therapy services each assigned day, following IEP goals
- Complete accompanying indirect hours dedicated to documentation, planning, and communication
- Evaluate, assess, and monitor students' progress, adapting interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, consulting with the educational team to ensure the best outcomes for each student
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as school system procedures
- Serve as a resource and advocate for student independence and skill-building within the classroom setting
