School Occupational Therapist | Belton, Missouri
Bring your expertise as a licensed Occupational Therapist to a collaborative school-based setting for the upcoming academic year! Two contract opportunities are available—choose from a full-time or a part-time (2–3 days weekly, 0.5 FTE) position, both starting as soon as possible and extending through May 26, 2027. The roles offer a structured, supportive environment without the need for travel between sites.
In these positions, you’ll be fully engaged in serving students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, providing both direct intervention and indirect support to help students reach their potential. Enjoy dedicated, paid administrative time for documentation and multidisciplinary meetings, supporting your focus on meaningful therapy and teamwork.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Missouri State Occupational Therapist (OTR) license required
- Preferred background in pediatric, school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for team-based care
- Must complete background screening and state fingerprinting prior to starting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for K–12 students and develop individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Deliver therapy services, supporting students in building fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills within the classroom
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and special education staff to support student success
- Complete timely and accurate documentation during paid administrative time
