In this flexible assignment, you will collaborate with dedicated educators and actively participate as a valued member of evaluation and IEP teams. Your insight and collaboration will help shape individualized plans, while your hands-on approach will contribute to each child's growth and success.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Missouri
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with preschool special education populations and early childhood development
- Comfortable delivering screenings, assessments, consultative, and direct services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for IEP meetings and team planning
Core Duties:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and deliver ongoing therapy for preschoolers with diverse needs
- Participate actively in evaluation and IEP team meetings
- Provide consultative input and strategies for students, families, and staff to support carryover of recommendations
- Document progress and maintain records in line with school requirements
- Work harmoniously with teachers, staff, and families in a nurturing early learning setting
This contract role initially covers three days weekly (8:15am-3:45pm, preferred Tuesday-Thursday or Monday-Wednesday). Based on student growth and program needs, there is potential to increase to full time, offering even more opportunity for meaningful connection and professional development.
