Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State
- Previous experience providing OT services in school settings preferred
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with teachers, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
- Adaptability and creativity in supporting diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ functional strengths and challenges
- Design and implement individualized therapy and intervention programs to promote student success in academic and daily activities
- Document progress, complete required reports, and maintain compliance with state and district policies
- Collaborate with special education teams to ensure goals and interventions integrate with classroom learning
- Provide training and resources to staff and parents to promote generalization of skills
- Participate in meetings (IEP, eligibility, etc.) and contribute insights from an OT perspective
