Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ development and success as a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)! This onsite position plays a key role in a collaborative educational environment, serving multiple locations for the upcoming school year. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide hands-on assistance, working alongside district Occupational Therapists and supporting their caseloads to ensure that every student receives the attention and care they need.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification and Utah state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Strongly prefer previous school-based or pediatric experience
- Familiarity with working across multiple sites and adapting to diverse school environments
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm for supporting student achievement and a commitment to inclusive education
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable collaborating in a team-focused setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students under the direction and supervision of district OTs
- Support implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) related to OT goals
- Travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Communicate observations and progress to supervising OTs and educational staff
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and adaptive learning atmosphere for students of varying backgrounds and abilities
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation as required by district and regulatory guidelines
