Key Skills & Experience:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, with credentials appropriate for school-based practice.
- Previous experience within a school setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to create and implement intervention strategies tailored to each student’s IEP.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP guidelines.
- Document progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
- Support the lead OT in assessment, planning, and program evaluation.
- Develop and adapt activities to foster student independence and participation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting.
