Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience supporting students, especially in educational settings, highly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Occupational Therapists, educators, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Support licensed Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized student care plans
- Assist in the development of activities and interventions to improve students’ functional skills at school
- Document student progress and maintain relevant records in accordance with school protocols
- Engage with educational staff to support accommodations and modifications in the classroom
- Foster positive relationships with students to promote confidence and independence
- Attend team meetings and contribute insights to interdisciplinary planning
This position offers the opportunity to work either full-time or 22.5 hours weekly (.6 FTE), giving you the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. You’ll make a real difference daily, helping students develop the skills they need to thrive in and out of the classroom.
