Step into a contract position as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working with students in a school environment near Vancouver, WA. Skills and Experience Sought:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Capable of developing and implementing adaptive strategies that support student success in educational settings
- Comfortable managing caseloads and documentation in accordance with district guidelines
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assist the occupational therapist with evaluations, goal development, and treatment planning
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to adapt classroom activities and environments for student accessibility
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills relevant to their classroom activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment conducive to educational and therapeutic growth
