Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Understanding of the unique needs of children and adolescents in educational environments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities with students, staff, and families
- Proficiency in conducting direct therapy, implementing IEP goals, and documenting progress
- Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapist and educational staff to support students’ occupational therapy needs
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students, both individually and in group settings
- Assist in assessment, planning, and implementation of OT services aligned with IEPs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by school standards
- Support classroom staff with strategies and modifications to enable student participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and related student support activities as requested
