Essential Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license for New York state
- Prior experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations
- Comfort working independently, managing a flexible and organized workload
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across kindergarten through 12th grade, adapting interventions to meet developmental needs
- Assess, plan, and report on student progress, maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy into the school day and promote student success
- Participate in the creation and review of IEPs, contributing professional recommendations to the team
- Communicate with families regarding therapy goals, progress, and strategies for support
