Qualifications & Certifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Ohio
- Valid credentials and certifications as required by state and school standards
- Previous experience in one or more of the following: school-based OT, home health OT, general OT healthcare, or teletherapy
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children in grades K-8
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8
- Assess and document student needs, progress, and outcomes according to IEP goals and state guidelines
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students’ functional skills in academic and school-based activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other allied professionals to ensure comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, prepare documentation, and assist with evaluations as needed
- Utilize technology to enhance therapy delivery, including opportunities for teletherapy
