Key Qualifications:
- Valid or pending Michigan Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience in school-based settings highly desired, particularly with IEP development, student evaluations, and direct therapy
- Background in home health or healthcare occupational therapy is a plus
- Comfortable working across all grade levels (PK-12)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to address students’ unique needs in educational and functional skill areas
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document all interventions, progress notes, and reports in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Communicate regularly with families and educators to monitor and adapt therapy strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and support the creation of strategies for classroom inclusion and accessibility
