Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in school-based OT settings highly preferred
- Comfort with home health-based therapy and general healthcare OT practices
- Familiarity with the IEP process, progress monitoring, and conducting assessments
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify functional limitations and set individualized treatment goals
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to enhance students’ participation in classroom and daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students’ goals and progress
- Deliver therapy services both in group and one-on-one settings, in compliance with district guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and home environment
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and progress reports
