Occupational Therapist School Setting in Cashmere, WA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving schools in a beautiful area of Washington. This position offers an immediate start, covers summer and extends through the 2026-27 school year, with full-time hours available. The role focuses on Early Intervention, working with children from birth to 3 years old—a chance to make a meaningful difference in their foundational development.
Candidates with experience or interest in school-based therapy, teletherapy, and COTA credentials are encouraged to apply. There is flexibility for either a single full-time OT or two part-time OTs, creating a collaborative work environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification (state of Washington)
- Experience in school-based settings, Early Intervention, or pediatric OT preferred
- Capability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as required
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and tools is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT assessments and interventions for Early Intervention caseload, focusing on children from birth to age three
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student development and participation
- Develop, monitor, and document individualized therapy plans in alignment with students' IEP and IFSP goals
- Provide services both in person at school sites and remotely where appropriate
- Maintain effective communication with school staff and families to track student progress
