What you’ll need to bring:
- Active license to practice Occupational Therapy in Ohio
- Previous experience as a school-based OT, ideally serving diverse K-8 populations
- Strong skills in collaboration and communication with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Ability to design and implement creative, individualized interventions
- Enthusiasm for supporting academic access and life skills for students facing a range of challenges
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing students’ needs, developing IEP goals, and delivering targeted therapy
- Documenting progress, maintaining accurate records, and participating in IEP meetings
- Collaborating closely with educators and family members to integrate therapy into classroom routines and school life
- Providing support and training to staff to foster students’ independence and success
