As a key member of the team, you will work a flexible schedule of 12 hours per week, collaborating with educators and families to foster growth and independence among your caseload. Your expertise in school-based OT will help students improve their participation and performance in daily school activities.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state.
- Previous experience working as a school-based OT (preferred).
- Familiarity with therapies tailored for K-8 students.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with school staff and families.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt strategies as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized occupational therapy services to K-8 students.
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student progress.
- Document assessments, treatments, and progress notes in a timely manner.
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop functional goals for students as part of an educational team.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
