Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state OT license or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education documentation
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to adapt classroom activities and facilitate access to the curriculum
- Maintain detailed records, progress reports, and documentation required by school policies and regulations
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute as a valuable team member
- Offer staff training and recommendations for classroom accommodations or adaptive equipment as needed
