Embark on an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students with your expertise as an Occupational Therapist! Two dedicated OTs are needed for the upcoming school year to make a meaningful impact in vibrant educational settings near Des Plaines, IL.
The first position involves coverage for two non-concurrent leaves across two elementary schools, spanning the entire academic year with consistent, full-time hours (35+ per week). The second opening is a full-time maternity leave coverage at an elementary campus, running from October through April, also offering 35+ hours weekly. Both roles offer you the chance to collaborate closely with engaging staff and enthusiastic young learners while providing invaluable therapeutic support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
- Current OT licensure in Illinois.
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams.
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to elementary students.
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and student progress monitoring.
- Support teachers and families with strategies for classroom and home environments.
