Occupational Therapist School Setting in Glendale Heights, IL

Opportunity One offers coverage for two non-concurrent leaves at elementary schools for an entire school year, ensuring consistent support for students and staff. Opportunity Two covers a full-time maternity leave (October to April) at an elementary school, providing critical continuity of care to young learners.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
- Comfortable working with elementary-aged children
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and adapt to changing needs
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the classroom setting
- Document progress, maintain required records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt strategies and materials to meet students’ unique needs
- Support students in achieving IEP goals and functional milestones
- Serve as a resource to school staff on best practices in supporting student occupational engagement
