Exciting opportunities are available for two dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) to make an impact within elementary school environments in the Elgin, IL area. This contract-based role offers the chance to work closely with students, educators, and families during the full school year or a maternity leave period, depending on your assignment preference.
Role Details:
- First Position: Support two non-concurrent leaves across elementary schools, ensuring strong service continuity and care for students throughout the entire academic year. Full-time hours with 35+ hours per week.
- Second Position: Take on a full-time maternity leave assignment, serving elementary-aged students from October to April, also with 35+ hours per week.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of Illinois
- Strong background in school-based OT, particularly supporting elementary-aged students
- Proficiency with IEPs, assessments, and documentation in educational settings
- Passion for collaborative teamwork and communication with educators, staff, and families
- Flexibility to adapt to varied caseloads and building environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT services to meet students’ academic and developmental needs
- Conduct evaluations, provide direct and consultative therapy
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
- Maintain clear and timely records, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to promote student success
