Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland
- Experience in educational and/or home health OT settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with families, teachers, and school staff
- Adaptability and organizational skills to manage varied caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ functional abilities and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans to address students’ goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and families to integrate OT strategies into the classroom and home environments
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of services and student progress
- Participate in meetings, including IEP teams and parent conferences, to advocate for student needs
- Remain current with best practices and regulatory guidelines for pediatric and school-based OT
