Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working within school settings or with a pediatric population preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal writing, and documentation
- Excellent communication and interprofessional collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt and organize workload with flexibility and professionalism
- Passion for fostering independence, self-regulation, and skill development in children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students referred for occupational therapy and interpret assessment data
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services—instructional, adaptive, and consultative—to students
- Collaborate actively with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Promote inclusive practices within classrooms and contribute to a positive learning environment
