Occupational Therapist School Setting in Silver Spring, MD
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade near Rockville, MD. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll work with a diverse caseload of 25 students, embracing a wide range of abilities and needs. This role spans the 2025-2026 school year, beginning in mid-August and concluding at the end of May. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and specialized teams, providing vital support through a variety of delivery models—including onsite, teletherapy, and home health settings. Leverage your skills to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that foster growth in communication and academic achievement.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLP License required
- Experience working in school settings (K-12) strongly preferred
- Comfortable supporting a caseload with a mixture of disabilities
- Familiarity with teletherapy, home health, and healthcare OT models a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for assigned students
- Develop and document individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy and collaborate with teachers and families
- Adapt services to best meet each student’s unique needs across various settings
- Maintain accurate and timely records of progress and interventions
