Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and relevant documentation
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to a diverse student population
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and skills
- Design and implement interventions that address sensory, motor, and functional skills
- Participate in developing, reviewing, and evaluating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy and consultative support in classrooms and other school settings
- Monitor, document, and report on students’ progress toward goals
- Educate and support teachers, staff, and families regarding strategies and accommodations
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines related to school-based OT
