Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Colorado
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school environment
- Familiarity with IEP planning and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and parents
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and learning styles
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students, supporting their educational and developmental goals
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify student strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers and special education staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for student progress
- Offer consultative support and in-class strategies for staff to promote inclusive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation according to school policies
