Step into a rewarding opportunity in school-based occupational therapy, providing crucial support to young learners in a contract position beginning as soon as possible and extending through the 2026-2027 school year. Work full time, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, focusing on early intervention for children from birth to three years old. This engaging role includes traveling between school sites, bringing your expertise directly to those who need it most. The district is open to certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) and can accommodate two part-time occupational therapists if preferred. Interviews are conveniently held via Zoom or on-site.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience with early intervention and/or pediatric populations, preferably in a school or teletherapy setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable transportation to travel between school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based and early intervention occupational therapy services to children ages birth to three
- Develop individualized plans to support student development and maximize independence
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to ensure holistic care
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and agency policies
- Utilize best practices in teletherapy as appropriate
