Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes
- Ability to contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Role Overview:
- Deliver OT services to students in a middle school environment, following federal, state, and district guidelines
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations (initial and re-evaluations) to determine eligibility for special education services
- Provide targeted support for students both through MTSS and as part of IEP teams
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and staff to foster the generalization of skills within daily routines
- Document services and maintain compliance with district and regulatory standards
- Participate in building-level team meetings and ongoing professional development
