Occupational Therapist School Setting in Evanston, IL

An exciting full-time contract opportunity is available for a dynamic OT professional eager to support students’ growth and independence across multiple educational settings near Evanston, IL. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to make a meaningful impact on individual learners.
In this role, you’ll provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to approximately 30 students, working across 3–4 schools. The schedule follows a 40-hour workweek, Monday–Friday, from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
- Comfort with teletherapy, home health, and healthcare OT services
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with strong documentation and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset, adaptable to working with various school teams and age ranges
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services within classroom and virtual settings
- Maintain accurate case notes, IEP documentation, and progress reports
- Liaise with educators, administrators, and families to maximize student success
- Travel between school sites as needed
