Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid State of Illinois OT license and current NBCOT certification
- Experience in school-based OT services preferred
- Previous work in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy environments is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt services to meet diverse student needs
- Collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals across various educational and home settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and implement effective therapeutic strategies
- Assess students' functional abilities and develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed for remote service delivery
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations to support student growth and independence
- Advocate for occupational therapy best practices within the school community
