Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license in Washington (WA OT)
- ESA certification is required
- Demonstrated experience in school-based OT services; knowledge of IEP processes
- Familiarity with teletherapy, home health, and healthcare settings is advantageous
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous work with kindergarten through 8th-grade populations preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to K-8 students, ensuring progress toward educational and developmental goals
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies, adapting them for both in-person and virtual learning environments as needed
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and collaborate in IEP meetings
- Partner with teachers, counselors, and families to foster student engagement and participation in school activities
- Provide guidance and resources to staff and parents, promoting carryover of therapeutic techniques into daily routines
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy
