Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license for the state of Washington
- Prior experience providing therapy services in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Knowledge of IEP processes, special education compliance, and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to adapt interventions to the needs of individual students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement interventions for fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance and in-class support to teachers and staff on strategies to enhance student participation
