Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain.
- Expertise in implicit bias, culturally responsive teaching, anti-racist practices, and trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with whole child support—social, emotional, and behavioral—across all RTI tiers.
- Knowledge of child development, diverse learning styles, equity work, and special education regulations.
- Willingness to train in restraint/aversive interventions as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy to students from kindergarten through transition age.
- Participate in planning, executing, and improving OT programs and IEPs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams focused on equitable, student-centered care.
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality, district, state, and federal policies relevant to special education.
