School Occupational Therapist - Fremont, California

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for California
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Competence in adapting OT interventions for adolescents
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with families, staff, and students
- Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and ability levels
- Flexibility to adjust to changing caseload needs
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and develop appropriate therapy goals
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to high school students
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities
- Liaise with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress
- Stay current on best practices in school OT and evidence-based interventions
