Key Qualifications:
- Current Washington ESA certification
- Valid WA OT license
- Fingerprinting through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction)
- Experience working in pediatric, school-based, or related settings highly valued
- Flexibility to serve various grade bands as determined by student needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Enthusiasm for working in-person with students and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP requirements
- Maintain comprehensive therapy records and progress notes
- Collaborate with special education and general education staff, as well as families, to optimize student support plans
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide insight and contribute to tailored intervention strategies
- Adapt interventions to diverse student needs across a range of grade levels
- Educate and empower teachers and caregivers on best practices to aid student progress
