Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Active or pending state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Effective communication skills for partnering with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple classrooms or grade levels
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities within the educational setting
- Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary IEP teams
- Deliver direct therapy services and consult with educators to support students’ participation and success
- Document interventions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and ongoing support
- Deliver training and resources to teachers and staff as needed
