This role offers the chance to make a measurable difference in the lives of 30–40 students, helping them develop vital motor, social, and adaptive skills for academic and personal success. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 18, 2027, with a steady schedule of 32.5 hours per week. You’ll find plenty of support from school teams eager for your expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure for the state of Michigan
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Deep understanding of IEP development and related documentation
- Ability to regularly travel between sites within the district
- Comfortable working independently—no supervision of COTA required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and services to students on your caseload
- Prepare documentation, progress reports, and IEP contributions in accordance with school guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Educate and consult with teachers, staff, and families to help integrate interventions into classroom routines
- Promote student engagement in learning and functional activities throughout the school day
